No its no fun. But hes a guy that could play every day at DH or in the outfield. He's proven he can hit major league pitching .

Maybe he can pull a Tanaka. Tanaka has had a partial tear for a while and is still going strong minus a recent hamstring injury

Maybe he can avoid it and just DH the rest of the year. I'm just hoping he can stay on the field. Hopefully it isn't definite.

Its the rumor. But Angels management and the doctors have not at all diagnosed him for definite TJS.

Pedro Gomez reported he heeded TJ Surgery. Since then Billy Eppler has said that "Probably" wont be the case. They are going to try the plasma injections and see what happens. He will probably end up needing TJ surgery down the road regardless.

Garrett Richards is the only one of their pitchers that has survived the plasma injections and he hasn't exactly been the player he was before the injury and barely played the last few season. 13 games so far this year so we will see.

Tropeano, Skaggs, Heaney all tried plasma and ended up having to have TJ Surgery. J.C. Ramirez had the plasma injections after last season and is currently having TJ Surgery as well. The odds aren't exactly in Ohtani's favor.

        Lets see what happens here.

Remember the Buffalo Bisons weird Buffalo Wings promotion? Now another minor league team(Mets A affiliate) is joining in on the food name.

OK, so Pedro Gomez is to blame for spreading false (so far) info. And by extension I blame all of ESPN.

I think we can all agree that "might need it with some percentage probability" is quite different than "does need it." You'd think veteran reporters would care about the distinction despite their rush to be first.

Well it is ESPN. They've lost all credibility when it comes to baseball coverage and sports coverage in general. Not a surprise to me anyways.

This type of reporting should get these guys canned.

Pedro Gomez always votes for some strange player in the hof balloting. Can't remember if it was Brian Jordan or Jay Bell.

Anyway he has zero credibility. Gives me more hope about Ohtani.

Anyways, that Brooklyn Bagels uniform is sweet (pun intended) I'd try to find a way to make it a regular alternate.

Damn it you guys. Just destroying how I always imagined Pedro Gomez to be. That white mane of hair, the bronzer, being slightly happier than you'd expect any person had a right to be.

That's right, Buster...Pedro Gomez reporting from somewhere, ESPN.

No worries man. Blame Pedro Gomez for causing a situation.

He was assigned to Bonds during the steroid scandal, and it always made it seem like he was a shadow just creepily stalking him all of the time.

And I believe I saw the report on Quick Pitch, but maybe it was on SportsCenter. I jumped on here expecting somebody to have brought it up, but after nobody did I thought maybe it was a premature report and decided to act against it.

Even still, that's something that is always scary to hear about. It's funny when Ohtani was pulled that one recent start after throwing over 100 pitches and he had a "srsly?" look on his face. It's to protect you, man.
