I don't care if they don't alternate every year, just stop determining home field advantage by it.

Sure, Nats haven't hosted ASG in their history, but they've only been around 10 or so years, so give them time.

Dodgers,Cubs should be getting games. A's should get one whenever they get a new stadium. And Jays should get one whenever they get real grass in their stadium.

Jays better be getting the 2018 or 2019 all star game! They'll have grass in their stadium by 2018,so what better way to show off their new field/get rid of that horrible reputation their stadium has, than hosting an all star game?

The Nationals have hosted in their history. Montreal hosted in '82. The Rays are the only team to never host.

But that still doesn't really mean anything. Franchise wise they have, but Washington never acknowledges their Montreal past. So I really just consider the Nats to be a team that started in 2005.

And every team(minus Tampa) has hosted it in the city they're currently in(at least I think so,not sure if some team might have moved to a stadium in a city next door to where they held their last ASG)

Washington held the All Star Game in 1969. It was held at RFK Stadium. In 1962 at D.C. Stadium, now the home of the DC United. And in 1956 at Griffith Stadium. So that is 3 times in 13 years.

Just so you know D.C. Stadium IS RFK.

Your text made it seem like there was a 3rd stadium involved.

                      That's an honest mistake

A lot of stadiums had proper and/or boring names before naming rights fees and other crap. Although renaming DC Stadium to RFK is definitely not "crap".

I don't know why Manfred bothered making Frank Robinson the American League President when he's clearly given up on the Leagues. The way this is going, I wouldn't be surprised if radical realignment rears its ugly head again.

EDIT: You know, I was thinking this morning that if Kenesaw Mountain Landis was over what Manfred was doing, Landis would ban Manfred from Baseball. Having the National League host three consecutive All-Star Games while having it decide home field advantage is as bad as fixing the World Series. I hope that Manfred kicks the idea of having the All-Star Game determining home field advantage. At the very least, I hope that he makes the American League the "home" team in the 2016 All-Star Game.

That might be too much to ask for though.

I'm gonna guess that Wrigley hosts after the renovations are done. It's the closest thing the Cubs will get to a new stadium, and the All-Star Game usually follows shortly after the construction of a new stadium.

                              Not even close.

They still have to redo the clubhouses and add stuff under the seats behind the dugouts (cages, and other things).

They're building a stuff around the stadium, too (hotel, parking deck, some shops I think). It's gonna be a couple of years
