            Re: MLB.TV problems...

I had posted a thread on here earlier this week asking for MLB.TV impressions, since I was a subscriber last year.

To summarize, it wasn't that great last year. Sometimes feeds got interrupted due to bandwidth issues, and provided some real choppy video.

Its a great service if its working right, nobody has more games than these guys. The problem is I'm not sure if they have enough bandwidth to support that many users getting 350k feeds.

If you're going to charge $14.95 a month, you BETTER have enough bandwidth. Period.

I think I'm going to stick with Extra Innings and listen to MLB radio if they aren't on TV.

I guess I've been spoiled by having EI the last couple years. Now I go to college and being stuck in a dorm the best I could do was MLB.TV. Unless I could somehow get a digital cable box installed in my room...

Yeah, I think that might be a good hybrid method.

The problem for me is I have digital cable. Right now (and until June basically), they share the channels with the Center Ice Hockey package, and the end result is there really aren't that many games. On the other hand, MLB.TV seems to offer esentially every game on TV. For $99.99 a season (compared to $150 for Extra Innings - No Radio - No Press Pass - No Extra Anything), it might be worth putting up with the occasional internet glitch.

I wonder if there is another forum out there on the internet (no offense to OS) that might have more activity regarding this subject.
