i'd like to see a day game DURING the week.

why?


Well i've heard of stories from people that used to sneak radios to school and listen to the game or just skip school to listen to the game on the radio. There was an innocent appeal about the day game back then. It's something that's sorely lacking these days.

I don't know how many kids or people that work that would do those kinda things today but i'm sure that some traditional baseball markets would LOVE a WS game during the day. I'm talking about a NY, Boston, and Chicago.

Sadly because of the world we live in we'll probably never see such a thing again.

I know in 81 there was a, if not more, day game. The sad part is that the divisional rounds can be played during the day, why not the rest of the playoffs including the series.

still no correct answer on the question. I know they won't play a day game during the weekends now due to college and NFL football games.

Ok fsquid I was off by a year the last day game in the World Series was in 1971. The first night game occured on October 13th 1971 and was Game #4 of the Pirates-Orioles WS.

I got this info from the 20th Century Baseball Chronicle.

BTW the Pirates won that game to even up the Series.

Ok fsquid I was off by a year the last day game in the World Series was in 1971. The first night game occured on October 13th 1971 and was Game #4 of the Pirates-Orioles WS.
