Well, if WS games were played in the daytime nowadays, many would call it a gamekiller. See the MVP Baseball forum for any questions.

Ok fsquid I was off by a year the last day game in the World Series was in 1971. The first night game occured on October 13th 1971 and was Game #4 of the Pirates-Orioles WS.

I got this info from the 20th Century Baseball Chronicle.

BTW the Pirates won that game to even up the Series.

sorry, you are still not right.

Big Hint: It was the last year that the NLCS and ALCS were 5 games. The World Series back then started on a Tuesday.

                  Re: Quick Trivia Question

Actually in 1989 in the famous Earthquake series the game that was scheduled when the Earthquake happened was on at 8 EST which would make it 5 PST.

It's trivial but that would make it a "day game".

Well, according to Baseball Reference it was Game 5 of the 1984 World Series. No clue about that 89 series, I don't know if you call 5pm "day".
