LOL he's a really nice guy though. I've bumped into him around town a few times. He and Dana White actually paid for a meal I was eating at a restaurant I was at. they were sitting at a table next to me and we got into a long discussion about the UFC and Baseball and life. Even talked about his tanning bed accident LOL.

Food for thought, compare his career numbers against Jack Morris. One was nearly elected to the hall of fame, the other received exactly zero votes in his only year on the ballot.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Tanana had such an amazing career…comes up as a fireballing lefty (he and Ryan were studs for the Angels) and led the league in K's in '75. Then the injuries come and he turns into a finesse lefty and pitches until 1993 or so. Love guys like that…Last edited by Sportsforever; 02-20-2014, 04:56 PM."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Re: Countdown to Opening Day 2014
Such a wasted talent due to injuries…I'll never forget when he came up. I had actually read about him in the pre-season magazines and being the Cubs #1 prospect. When he came up I wanted to make sure I saw him pitch the first chance I got…it was that day game against the 'Stros in which he struck out 20 and allowed 1-hit. Honestly, that was a more dominant performance than I've seen in most no-no's. What could have been..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do.
