I think they will finsih 2nd in the AL Central right behind the Twins, but they have improved a ton from last year as it looks right now

Of course they have improved since last year. Just the addition of Pudge gives us more wins than our horrid campaign last season.

I`m still very suprised we're doing this well, and, for the most part, we're playing some great baseball. Aside from our loss to the Jays, our defense has been tons better than last year. I shouldn't even have to comment about our significantly improved hitting, as it's obvious we're doing something right when we step up to the dish.

Hitting has improved dramatically. Fielding has improved as well. But starting pitching still looks suspect. It looks like the Tigers have to rely on hitting and outscoring teams in bunches as opposed to jumping out to 1- or 2-run leads and sustaining them with solid pitching. I'm curious to see if this team is capable of pulling out close low-scoring wins at times their bats go silent.

good assessment...I agree, pitching is our main issue now, but I can deal with that. The fact we're even wondering if the Tigers can hold a 2-0 lead if the bats go silent is amazing in and of itself. Detroit's #10 in ESPN's power rankings, whodathunkit

Well, it's official. 6-2. Bonderman is suprising me. I never knew he was capable of pitching like he has. He's giving up a few runs, yeah, but he's striking alot of guys out, too. If he can focus less on the strikeout and more on the win, he could be a great pitcher.
