It has been a long season for the Expos, and it's only april!, the team is yet to play a real home game (in Montreal), injury's have taken there toll (Nick Johnson, Carl Everett, Tony Armas), and this team can not score runs to save there lives!, thru there first 14 games the Expos are 3-11 and have been out scored 53-22, as a team they are hitting a league worst .203 and have 1 more team Home Runs (8) than the San Diego Padres.
Tony Batista, who drove in 99 runs with the Baltimore Orioles last season, was signed to be the Expos big slugger is hitting .156, and his only run scored came on his only HR of the season, so do the Expos miss Vlad?, thats like asking can Barry Bonds hit Home Runs!, Vlad has got off to a great start with the Angels, in his first 13 games as an Angel he is hitting .278 with 4 Home Runs (half as many as the Expos whole team) and has 10 RBI (almost half as many as the Expos), 8 of his 15 hits have gone for extra bases, the Expos as a team have 21 extra base hits, thats also the same number of Home Runs Expos pitchers have given up.
Jose Vidro and Orlando Cabrera, both in contract years, have suffered offensively without Guerrero, if the team is not sold by the end of the season you can probably expect both players to walk after the season, assuming they are not traded first.
this is not a fun team to watch, i don't think that would be the case had they re-signed Guerrero, i don't think there is a single player in the league that is more missed by his former team than Vlady.
