The Bronx Bummers fall below .500

When are they gonna start swingin' the bat for cryin' out loud? This isn't what I expected of a team with newcomers Sheffield and Arod. Sure it's still just april, but this is a really bad start...I'm disappointed, and I'm a self proclaimed Yankee *****. I mean, can't they come up with more than that? I mean COME ON! At least present a CHALLENGE!

At least get the title of your post right! They are at .500, not below it. And it cracks me up that people who love to hate the Yankees are making such a big deal out of 16 games in April. This team will win 100 games, win the division and be fine. But I guess you need to cling to something at this point.....

I'll be the first to admit that I dont like the Yanks. But I'm not even worried about this team in only the first month. You have to look at it like this. They've played some good teams in the start of the season. Boston and the White Sox are both contenders for a playoff spot and of course they're not gonna go wild on those teams. Tampa is'nt much of a weak squad also. If you underestimate them, they'll do nasty things to you.

Besides, the Yanks showed signs in that first game against the white Sox this week. They were simply crushing the ball. But all in all, I dont think this years Yank team has what it takes to go all the way. Boston is putting fear in they're hearts and teams like the White Sox and Oakland are'nt nobody to count out.

Btw, that left handed pitcher for the Yanks. I forgot his name, that kid is gonna be something spectacular. is slow curve is deadly.

Yankees did not really crush the ball in the 11 run game they had.

They scored 7 of the runs in the first inning and NON of the balls were hit hard, just bad defense by the Sox.

With that being said, I wouldn't worry about the Yankees at all, I am sure they will be just fine.

I wouldn't be worried about the yankees as a team just yet. I would be worried about Mussina though, struggling through like this is very unusual for him.

I thought Yankee Haters were supposed to love it when the Yankees suck?

                            Stoud you're not a real Yankees *****!

As far as the Yanks right now they're starting off slow but i'm sure they'll heat up. I'm very giddy over Pay-Rod's sucky performance so far tho.

BTW I liked that bit of defense last night when Travis Lee (I think) dove to first to get one of the Chi-Sox guys out and Mussina was going to cover first. He had to hop over the bag so as not to hit Lee.

                            It was a neat visual.
