    Re: Tale of 2 stadiums (Wrigley vs. Comisky, the Cell)

    OH MY [censored] GOD.

    You did not just go there. You say Wrigley "fans" know baseball? YOUR ENTIRE FAN BASE JUMPED ON THE BANDWAGON WHEN SAMMY STARTED STER---HITTING HOMERS AND YOU WENT TO THE PLAYOFFS LAST YEAR. I have talked to so many fans who don't even know more than 5 people on that team. They all say

    Prior Wood Sosa CPat Moises. Then they stare at you. "That guy. Zambrownski" I've heard "Clemens". Most Cub fans are complete idiots. They don't know the difference between a splitter and a sinker. The reason that they all cried was because they watched everyone cry last year. When they choked. I've been to Wrigley. I've seen more people talking on the phone, drunk out of their minds, and standing around like its a [censored] college party. Then Sammy hits a homer and they all yell and scream. I've heard stories were peopel were asking where Mark Grace was and why that "big Asian man" is over at first "plate". Hell, some Cubs fans don't even know that the White Sox EXIST. They are an embarrasment.

    Sure, Sox fans don't come out in droves to the ballpark unless they have a winning team out there. I agree with that aspect. But that's because management has been a joke. Reinsdorf drove them away druing the strike, you know when we could have competed for the WS? Remember last year, when the team put together that 8 game win streak? The park started selling out. It was a rebirth. Suddenly, White Sox fandom wasn't something to be ashamed of. Get out of the bleachers if you want to see White Sox fans. I'm talking abuot the "couples" and the "fathers" who just seem to sit there. You want to know why? Because their not drunk off their asses like Harry used to be. They'll be quiet, sure. But that's because they'll be teaching their kids the game. I gurantee one father will be there with his scorecard teaching his kid.

    The scoreboard disrupts you? Are you an idiot? Look away. I know it's tough to move your eye a millimeter down. Don't call the Sox out on actually using technology. At least they have somethign to be proud of and not those troughs in the bathroom. You know, the ones that spill into the walkways? I don't see you faulting the Bulls for playing games on the Titantron at center court. I knwo for a fact the Sox aren't the only team playing games on the scoreboard. We've moved on since 1910.

                  Damn Nokona, you act like I said I was a Cubs fan or something. It may have seemed like it from my post but you must of misunderstood. I'm a true Sox fan here. I put as much pride in my team as the other 5 ppl on this board do.

                  I'll actually take that comment back, Cubs fans dont truely kow baseball, they only know the Cubs. My brother being a prime example. Who is a bandwagon fan afer Sammy started smaking HRs left and right. And my realization is that alot of so called Cub fans jumped in right at that period.

                  Anyway, sorry to mislead you Nokona, the only reason like I said its hard to NOT be a Cubs fans is because I would love to be apart of a group of fans who take as much passion and pride in a team than anything I've ever seen. But I'm defitnitly not a Cus fan. (And if you did the research, you would of known that instead of calling me out)

                  As for the Cell and its multiple scoreboards compared to Wrigley. I still stand by my comments. I'm defitnitly not saying that the screboards in the Cell are an eyesore, which you seem to have gotten the impression of me saying. But those scoreboards do defitnitly take you out the game. In the United Center, the scoreboard for the most part shows the actual telecast. UNTIL, there is a timeout or stoppage in play. The only time the scoreboard shows something other than the game, it is some advertisment or a "Charge" or "Loud Meter". Which dont really occur simultaneously during the game often.

                  The scoreboard at the Cell displays diffrent tidbits of info on each player, shows advertisments, shows other little gifs and they try to fit them in between pitches. While your attention is directed at the scoreboard, you often miss the pitch. And have to catch up to the play. Plus, if you read my initial post thourouly, you would of seen that I said that those scoreboards are'nt a distraction to me anymore. I'm totally focused on the game and nothing but the game between pitches. My description was coming from my first visits to Comisky and the Cell. I was so in awe of the screboards and other little animations that it took me completely out of the games as it was eye candy everywhere. And I noticed the hundereds of kids who were at the ballpark that Sunday doing the same.

                  As for Wrigley, its such a beautiful park because it has an old school feel to it. There is'nt anything to take you out of the game besides a foul ball slicing towards your head. Less eye candy=more of the field to look at. Its only my opinion also. I'm not saying the attractions at the Cell are bad, just that its a tad bit overwhelming. And I suggest you read my post thoughrouly before attacking my comments again. I sensed alot of blindness while reading you post. I hope the same does'nt happen once more.

                  So to help you, I'll summarize.

                  ME=Sox fan
                  Wrigley=beautiful place with a fan following the I'm quite in envy of
                  The Cell=Now also a beautiful place but I would like it more if you were restricted to only pay more attention to the game and not eye candy.

                  All again, this is just my opinion. And before you call me an idiot again, read my sig and use it as the overstatement of the year.

                  Thankyou sir.
