ok Darrin Oliver freakin sucks. i was ok with him giving up a few against the Braves but this is becoming a huge habit. im nervous everytime he steps on the mound.

He doesnt suck. I actually thought he was a great aqcuisition. He might not be great but for a 5th starter hes not bad. He got rocked up a little in Coors feild and ATL but those are both teams that can swing the bat. Plus hes not that bad of a hitter either.

No, actually it has proven over the course of his career that Darren Oliver indeed sucks.

It wasn't just Colorado where he got lit up like a Christmas tree. He has been lousy everywhere he has played, including St. Louis, Texas, Colorado, etc.

He has a career ERA of 5.08. He had one good year, recordwise at least, in 1996 when he went 14-6 for Texas. Even then, his ERA was 4.66. He won games that year because of the Rangers potent offense.

In his 11 seasons, he has had an ERA higher than 4 every single year with the exception of 1993, when he had a 2.70, and that was because he only pitched 3.1 innings.

He sucks. If he wasn't left handed, he would have been out of baseball 5 years ago.

Im sure hes better than other # 5's out there, but anyways Im jus tryin to support him.
