    Yes, we have seen long layoffs before, but never long enough to throw an entire staff out of their routine.


    I assure you, if your proposal was made to teams, it would be shot down by 30 teams.


    There is a reason they play 162 games and never have more than one day off. Why would that all of a sudden change for the postseason?
    I'm not deaf to the arguments against it...and I do understand.

    I'm inclined to believe the issue is perhaps more belief than reality...


    If that's no good, then I want each league to have no division, with a 1v4, 2v3 playoff format.



    I don't like the "one and done" extra playoff we have now...I'd rather see more teams, and a best-of-3 opening round...with the caveat that all three games are played at the div.champ or highest seed's home field.

      would swap Padres and Astros.. I'd love to see the Pads in the same division as Seattle
