Anyone notice the delay in the game in the eighth? Art Howe had his Mets play the game on protest because of Aki's pitching motion, which he's had consisitently for 25-straight games. I dont' know why, he must be pissed that his hitter's timing is being knocked off because of that motion, but if he was going to have a case on it, he should've done it last night when Aki was pitching to close the game. This is unreasonable and I doubt the league will find any fault to this case.

Yeah, that makes no sense to me. If Hideo Nomo can do what he does with no problems...

Last time I checked, the only rule was that you had to have one foot on the pitching rubber when you deliver the ball. Everything else is fair game (except for the balking stuff, but I don't think that was the issue).

As for Reyes, I said its ironic he plays short stop with ham string troubles, seeing as the athleticism involved in that spot is more than any other position in baseball. Who cares if hes injured and I make fun of him? Oh wait you and that homeless guy asking for change outside Shea Stadium.
