Seattle challenging a transfer call at the plate on a force out. Gonna be interesting to see how they rule it. He was called out originally.

      And they called him safe.

This is ridiculous. They've got to change the interpretation of this rule

I agree. This is getting absolutely preposterous. I am getting angry over baseball. This shouldn't happen.

On another note, I really hope they resume this Pirates-Reds game. I want to see how many homers they can hit by the end of the night. 10 total

Gattis and Uggla going back to back isn't surprising, but Simba getting in on the action? That makes it amazing.

So far our team home run leaders tonight go as follows:

                        1. Pirates with 6
                        2. Braves with 4
                        2. Reds with 4

                        That's a ton of souvenirs.

I'm still trying to figure out what was wrong with it in the first place. Seemed pretty simple before.

From listening to the guys on MLB Network, apparently they've added something to the rule book saying that the player has to have a clean transfer from the glove to the throwing hand in order to complete the catch.

The rule was added, I guess, to give clarification for replay so it's not a judgment call as to whether the player had control before transferring to the hand. It's really become a huge issue though. Guys are going to have to re-learn the glove/hand exchange to ensure they secure it.

Hopefully they take it out and make the transfer rule non-reviewable. It's causing too much confusion, and it's really not a difficult call to make live.

Phillies got something cooking, bases loaded 0 outs.
