Unless the Yanks deal Bernie Williams, I don't think we will see Beltran in Pinstripes. They have no need for both of those guys.

The Yankees have nothing to trade to aquire Beltran. He may end up signing with NY as a free agent but I doubt he'll be traded there first. I can't see the Red Sox trading for him either as all three outfield positions will be filled and they have an everyday DH. Basically any team needing an offensive upgrade in the outfield will be interested in him. It will be interesting to see where he ends up, this year and next as I'm not convinced the Yankees will get him, they'll be targeting pitching.

any team could use a guy like beltran, especially one with an old guy who he could replace.

Any GM that trades for Beltran during the season is a moron. They will be doing a great disservice for themselves, while on the contrary the complete opposite for the Royals.
