I hear ya, I was just using that as an example that he has played through pain before. Which make you wonder, if he can play through that, why can't he suck it up and play when he has these little aches?

It seems like Drew has already worn out his welcome in Atlanta. The Braves as an organization almost never criticize their players in the press, yet on the same day their GM and star player both make comments critical of Drew. That says a lot to me. And earlier today another Brave, Mark DeRosa, did the same on Atlanta radio.

When Drew plays he's an excellent player. Power, speed, defense - he's got it all. Guy just needs to toughen up, but if he hasn't by now he probably never will. It used to tick me off when Cards fans would call Drew "Nancy", but now I understand.

this is why people in st. louis hate him.. this is nothing new..

and he never played through pain.. he played on his leg until it hurt him and then he would take days off..

I didnt like this move from the beginning...lets just hope that Wainwright doesnt turn into a superstar.

Drew is never going to live up to his potential playing in the National League, he has a degenerative knee condition, it's only going to get worse, he should be playing in the American League as a DH, then, he might get the 500+ at bats he would need to hit 40 Home Runs.
