Please, your giving us Yankee fans a bad name (as if we don't have on already) by showing youe ignorance.

    No power??

Giambi- avergae of 40 HR's over last 3 seasons
Sheffield- average of 33 Hr's over last 3 seasons
    A-Rod- average 52 Hr's over last 3 seasons
    Posada- 30 HR's last year
Sierra- Average of a HR every 14 Ab's over last 3 seasons and is on a HR tear lately

If 5/9 of your lineup is this powerful, how can you say they lack power.

Also, I along with every other true Yankee fan would rather have A-Rod come postseason instead of Soriano who went 0-5 with 4 K's (on the same pitch every time, a low slider away) in the biggest game of the year last year (Game 7 ALCS)

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I said they are lacking power so far this season

Tanyon Sturtze is beyond awful. His last full year as a starter he lead the league in just about every category you don't want to lead as a pitcher. If he makes any starts for the Yankees that just shows how desperate they are for a 5th starter. As a Sox fan, I just hope any start Sturtze makes is against Boston.

The Yankees don't have enough power? I think they have too much! Case in point, Sheffield's at bat against Scot Williamson with 2 outs in the 9th with the Yanks down 2-0. Every pitch he was trying to hit out and as a result Williamson made him look foolish on a slider away. What good is a solo home run when you're down by 2 runs in the 9th? Its not going to tie the game or win it but thats Sheffield.

I'm also kind of stunned when Yankee fans demand that their team finds a replacement for Cairo and Wilson at second. If the Yankees can't win with the lineup they already have thats just pathetic. And I'm pretty sure Texas would not be willing to trade Michael Young for Kenny Lofton and some bad prospects. The same goes for Toronto parting with either Vernon Wells or Orlando Hudson.

Anyways, whats wrong with the Yankees? Nothing really. No team can be perfect and the Yankees are an example of such. They're 5th starter is in question and Jeter is struggling. A lot of players have a bad year at some point in their career and maybe this is Jeter's time. Its only May 19th though, so I wouldn't give up on him just yet. Even if Mussina pitches the rest of the season like he is now, Vazquez and Brown should be able to make up for him (assuming Brown stays healthy and the Yanks get some consistency out Vazquez). Right now the Yankees are a half game back of Boston in the AL East and I can think of worse places to be right now.

i agree with most of this(even tho your poking shots at my team).especially with the second base issue.at least somebody has a brain unlike phillyfan
