Big series in Boston this week. I want to see the Jays beat the tar out of the Bostonians but they haven't been able to cash in the runners on base lately. We'll see what happens.

Braves actually scored some runs tonight…crazy. Brandon Phillips... What a play to move the Nats/Reds to the 13th inning…thought the game was over for sure.

The Reds are a joke right now. Absolutely pitiful.

It's nice to have a competent offense that's not necessarily predicated on the long ball. More, please.

I wonder how long is it gonna be till the red sox make some moves. They clearly arent getting any better offensively and with their payroll its becoming a joke. The red sox dont go through "rebuilding" years they reload ever year like the yankees so please start doing it again

I'm confused. Was 2012 a "reloading" year? Because it sure as hell felt like a rebuilding year.

No it was a cherrington is scared to spend money now year because of Theo when honestly a-gone and crawford weren't even the problem, it was valentine who destroyed that team. Its like the red sox are acting like they are the houston Astros with a 30 million payroll. The fact they didnt even upgrade during the offseason is a joke and pathetic. If they arent going to spend the money they make on ticket sales then lower the prices of tickets.

The only thing the Astros and Red Sox payrolls have in common is a dollar sign is in front. The Red Sox have the 5th highest payroll in baseball ($154M) and the 'Stros are dead last ($44M). I'm a fan of a team that hasn't changed payroll in around 10-15 years…your team has won 3 WS in the last 10 years. Please stop with the persecuted/woe is Red Sox nation bit.

Cubs will score 10 against the Yankees tonight to make up for the doughnut they'll give Samardzija tomorrow.

                              Red Sox sign Stephen Drew.
