For some reason Ryne Sandberg still thinks Jake Diekman can pitch to righties. Not sure how many go ahead hits he has to give up to make Rhino convinced.

And thank you Rockies for handing extra chances to the Phils tonight so the stage(s) could be set for Utley and Howard. Ahhhh....seems like old times.

And the Rockies color guy is a jerk.

Gee, I really like being the team that Boston is using to get back on track.

Unfortunately though, not every position might have someone who deserves to be there(big shock lol)

AL OF for example...Ellsbury or Beltran look like they'll STARTING. Despite Ellsbury hitting .268,21RBI and Beltran .234 and 15RBI.

                    Rios:.329,29RBI,10SB
                    Melky:.314,29RBI,8HR
                    Brantley:.310,39RBI,8HR

And none of those guys will be a starter it looks like unless they get lots more votes(Melky is only one of those 3 who has a shot,Rios is 15th in voting,Brantley isn't even anywhere close).

Because its a popularity vote. I personally would like the whole fans voting to be done away with. Most fans are stupid and vote for their favorite players instead of guys who deserve it. Its a joke and the only reason Jeter is going is because its his last year which I understand because what he has meant for baseball the last 18 years

Looks like Dodgers Reliever Chris Withrow has been diagnosed with...you guessed it: a torn UCL. Tommy John recommended.

I was saying to someone and the end of last week…oh, the Red Sox have lost 10 straight? We are the perfect remedy for that.

Hey, at least we can't score tonight! Sucks to waste a rare solid Peavy outing.
