He has already said that he regrets signing with the Mariners so I think he would if it's the right team.

He wants to go to a contender very badly.

The only problem with that trade is that that would be a trade between the Padres and Royals,
interestingly enough though, Peter Gammons did say on Baseball tonight on wednsday that he believes that Carlos Beltran will be traded to San Diego, the Padres have a deep enough farm system that they can trade a few prospects to get Beltran, the only problem will be trying to re-sign him at the end of the season, the Padres don't have a great deal of payroll to work with, but Kevin Towers is a good GM and maybe he could figuer out a way.

      Yeah....

I just got finished posting something about Beltran somewhere else and subconsciosly did that. My bad...

Eddy never should have left Minnesota, but this is just another example of a player trading happiness for money, Eddy will be traded, the Yankees are always looking for pitching, but i think the best place may be the last place Seattle would want to trade him to and that's Anaheim, The Angels do not have a lefty in there bullpen, down the stretch that could be a problem for them, as good as there bullpen has been they could use a lefty to face the Giambi's and Chavez's of the world.

I'll keep it to the Mariner's, I've heard Gil Meche's name get thrown around here a couple of times, Garcia for a while.

And in response to your post, Barfield may be moved, I really don't like the trade unless the Padres can keep Beltran, which I doubt will happen because of Scott Boras.
