      Interesting... I wouldn't be surprised if there was move between the Padres and Mariners, those teams are like drinking buddies.

                  The only problem with that trade is that that would be a trade between the Padres and Royals,
                  interestingly enough though, Peter Gammons did say on Baseball tonight on wednsday that he believes that Carlos Beltran will be traded to San Diego, the Padres have a deep enough farm system that they can trade a few prospects to get Beltran, the only problem will be trying to re-sign him at the end of the season, the Padres don't have a great deal of payroll to work with, but Kevin Towers is a good GM and maybe he could figuer out a way.

                        I just heard from Gammons this morning that Guardado might be traded if they can get him to waive his no trade clause.
