My God, just watching Sportscenter earlier, I see and HEAR every home run that the White Sox hit last night, and now I advise the White Sox... stop hitting so many damn home runs.

Good Lord, these announcers annoy the hell out of me, and probably each and every one of you guys. What do you think about them?

I'm a big White Soxs fan and yeah, to a non-White Soxs fan that would sound annoying.

But being a native Chicagoan all our announcers are excited 'homers'. What I mean by that is when the home team does something good(or bad) the announcers go nuts. Now as an announcer your suppose to call the game as you see it. For some reason our announcers call the game from a Chicago-fan perspective. If you think Hawk and DJ are annoying try listening to Ron Santo and Pat Hughes on 720-AM when they announce the Cubs game. Ron Santo is someone that annoys me when I listen to him.

Back to the subject of our announcers being 'homers'. To us Chicago fans, we love it. Chicago sports fans are just as passionate as any other fan in any other city. One broadcast I do like is the Bears Radio broadcast on 780-AM with Jeff Joniak and Tom Thyer. What I like about them is that they state that you'll hear the most biased Bears braodcast in all of radio. They come out and admit that they are 'homers'.

Believe it or not, Harry Carrey was to me the most unbiased braodcaster in Chicago Sports. I remember sometime in the mid-90's, when the Cubs were terrible, he blasted the Cubs during a game. He stated that the Cubs had no talent in the major league and they had no talent coming up in the minors. And at that time, they didn't. Even though I'm a Soxs fan I did admire his opinion.

Well, I'm pretty sure alot of ppl dont like other announcers. Only thing Hawk and DJ bother me is that they rarely talk about the game unless something exciting happens. Some ppl dont like Chip Carrey, and I think he's a good announcer. I donno, but it has been alot of ppl who despise the White Sox announcers. It was a thread abotu them not to long ago.

Well, I'm pretty sure alot of ppl dont like other announcers. Only thing Hawk and DJ bother me is that they rarely talk about the game unless something exciting happens. Some ppl dont like Chip Carrey, and I think he's a good announcer. I donno, but it has been alot of ppl who despise the White Sox announcers. It was a thread abotu them not to long ago.
