He could maybe maybe be a righty killing DH, although no one in hell would pay him like the Phillies owners group.

I get it…but at the same time we'd all be great GM's with that 20/20 hindsight.

It doesn't matter if you look ahead or behind. Letting a good reliever walk, trading a number two for spare parts, using that money to sign a 39 year old reliever, and then trading one of your best spects for another closer is bad any way you look at it. Nothing about any of these moves were justifiable at the time.

I agree, especially on the Fister deal. Let's not act like Benoit, however, is a spring chicken or that anyone could see Nathan imploding like he has.

C'mon, was it really that hard to see a 39 year old reliever with a 3.0 HR/FB% and a fastball down nearly 2 MPH imploding? And Benoit has been consistently excellent since 2010. That was a great signing.

They didn't sign Nathan to replace Benoit. They expected Rondon to replace Benoit, who had been a temporary bandaid for Valverde. Hitching their wagons to Rondon's fat ****ing *** was pathetic, but let's try to keep the Tigers' idiocy straight and correct.

My friend meant purely in terms of roster spot lol. But wasn't Nathan signed to be a closer?

...and that is probably down the drain after tonight's performance, came in with 9-2 lead, left after giving up 2 runs and 2 on base.

Mariners get Kendrys Morales for Stephen Pryor. Interesting move on both sides lol

Morales didn't want to come back. Mariners tried hard to get him. Haha, welcome back Kendrys. You can't escape that easily.

                              I love it. Low risk.
