Well. Right. When you are engaged in a sporting contest or some other event against an opponent or opponents, technically you are in a competition.

Let's use this analogy in regards to the Phillies:

There is a Spelling Bee competition and the Phillies are involved. The Phillies are "competing" against 29 other spelling competitors. It just so happens that the Phillies spelled CAT..... "K-A-T".

He's definitely seen better days as a pitcher.

How's this catching prospect we're getting back? I've read that he's a T10 guy in your system. But, as you said, in A ball

              I'm not a fan. I'd say he's just average.

But I think he has 5 pitches.

Cardinals players not too happy to find out on Twitter they were traded.

I literally have no idea. I'll cede that discussion to someone who knows more about minor league baseball than I do, which is just about anyone.

He is 20 or 21 in Class A ball and only has 5 HRs in 500+ ABs.

I don't think I will think twice about the trade. Maybe in 5-7 years he will be MLB ready.

Bullpen still sucks. Outfield still sucks (and is worse now). Defense still sucks.

Unless the starting rotation plans on throwing CG shutouts every game in the postseason, I simply can't get psyched about the Price trade. This team has grated on my nerves all season long; one of the most unenjoyable seasons in recent memory.

Very nice spect. Performing very well relative to league average/age.

Ruben Amaro Jr. was more absent from the trade deadline than Ferris Bueller was from school.

ESPN Reported that Ben Zobrist was traded to Pit, but I can't find anything anywhere that indicates he was traded.
