I did…I try and watch the Angels whenever I can, mainly for Trout, but it's nice that they are actually playing well this year. Him scoring from 1st on Pujols' double after he slid into second was amazing. I think the guy is as close to Mickey Mantle in his prime as any player we've seen since.

I am clearly biased when it come to Trout, but in all my years I've never seen anything like it. Especially at such a young age.

He's 22 yrs old and isn't too far off from competing for his 3rd MVP award.

I don't know how much better he can get but he's worth the price of admission. We get up there as much as we can just to watch him play.

Plus I love his attitude. He seems like he generally just loves playing the game and its infectious to the rest of the clubhouse.

I don't know how far they will go this year but I am going to enjoy the ride.

That's just it…people really should take every opportunity to see this kid. We aren't guaranteed a full career out of him. Every player is one injury away from being done, or last done playing at that level. He is so much better, so much more athletic, and has so much baseball savvy than anyone else on the field that it's almost shocking when he makes a mistake.

I can honestly say I haven't enjoyed watching a young player like this Ken Griffey Jr.

It annoys me how much I like Mike Trout. He's such a dominant force and he still isn't even close to reaching his prime yet. It's scary.

He dosent wear it to confuse hitters, its a tribute to his late father who wore it like that working in the fields.

His father was a fisherman.

But it was in the Miami paper I think where he said it confused guys on first base thinking he was looking at them.
Something weird.

But also.....he only starting tilting it in 06/07....I'm pretty sure it was straight before then.

Either way .....it looks absurd.

I actually remember arguing last October that Bryce Harper still projected to be the better player over the long run since a significant part of Trout's advantage (defense and base running) would hit the wall. While Trout has declined in both areas, he compensated for that by….becoming the best hitter in baseball.

That was a nice bounce back win tonight and thankfully the established guys got it done with a little help from the Buffalo Connection.

It'll be interesting to see how Dickey and Stroman do over the next couple days.
