He looks like the type. Idk understand the Dbacks bringing him back. They should cut ties and move on. Bring someone else in that can turn it around.

It's like they're trying to mimic the Astros approach to rebuilding, and instead of acquiring talent, they levitate towards "baseball men" & "tough guys". And that comes from the top in Kevin Towers, just google his comments last year about "policing the game" and "baseball players".

Let's have a look at recent memory...

Traded Justin Upton in his prime, along with Chris Johnson to Atlanta, because Upton didn't fit their "system". Acquired Martin Prado, a reputed "baseball man", and a few prospects who've not amounted to anything.

Gave up on Matt Davidson not even two years in and traded him to Chicago for a medicare closer at best.

Gave up on Trevor Bauer because he didn't fit their "system". Didi Gregorius has been terrible, and Anderson & Sipp are no longer with the organization.

Discouraged Brandon McCarthy from the throwing the cutter, his best pitch. Traded to Yankees for a bag of balls. McCarthy re-establishes the cutter, and has been solid so far.

Dealt aforementioned "baseball man" Martin Prado to New York for nothing. At this rate Archie Bradley, and Braden Shipley better be on their best behavior.

The whole front office needs to be purged, IMO.




tldr : Arizona front office is run by children seemingly.

This is the Jason Heyward we were promised in 2010. Dude is absolutely killing it. So glad he was healthy for most of the year.

This is what happens when you are patient Atlanta. That's all there is to it. This team slumps when they swing at every first pitch. They get hot when they actually draw long counts and only swing early if it is a fastball.

He's horrible as a manager. Wouldn't be surprised if he was horrible as a person either.

I'm starting to get scared of the Cubs. Arrieta has been a beast and Hendricks has performed very well since coming up. Javy is hitting bombs, Rizzo is having a phenomenal year and Castro is back to his old self. With Soler and Bryant absolutely mashing at AAA, and Russell quietely on a tear, this team will have something to prove in 2015.

The Cubs have plenty of money to spend in the offseason too.
