*Yawn*. Last time I checked divsion titles weren't decided in mid-june. Wait until at least Septemeber before you start gloating.

            well this title is

i'm probably the biggest homer here for RSN

            but lets face it:

            this team is under-achieving
            2 more E's last night
            another bases loaded missed opp

lets hope for WC...but even that is not likely
Bummed that you're not on my ignore list yet?.....Don't worry, I'm sure you will be very soon.

Way to root on your team

Were only 5 out. It's not even the friggen All Star Break yet for starters. Nixon and Nomar aren't fully healthy yet, and Mueller is still out. Have you taken any of these factors into consideration yet? I'm not trying to make excuses for us, but it is a little harder to win when three of your best are either not at 100% or are out. I'll admit that we aren't playing the best right now, but every team goes through this.

So, you can give up on your team not even halfway through the season. I think i'll continue to root them on, thank you very much.

I think Boston and New York are the only two places in the country that scoreboard watch in mid June. The Yankees are 18-3 in their last 21 games, its not so much that the Red Sox have been playing poorly (though they should have won the first two games of the Colorado series) but that the Yankees have been on a roll. They'll come down eventually as all good hitting teams go into slumps and the Sox will make their move. They're also due for a nice winning streak as well. And we still have over a month until the trade deadline and one, if not both, of these teams will get better before then. There is a lot of baseball to be played.

And, the Yankess are 1-6 against the Sox. Make any excuse you want, but the record still stands. I wouldn't expect the Sox to go 18-1 against the Yankees this year but I think its fair to say they'll win more than they'll lose.
