I second that. It is about time somebody gave that armor a test and meet intimidation with intimidation.

      Clemens did it.

And again, I don't mind if the pitcher walks him, because pitchers like to challenge this guy. It's all the manager. They will either give the obvious 4 finger sign, or they will give sinkers 8 inches off of the plate.

I understand the strategy of winning, but man, people in Colorado and Baltimore so far this season, although being able to see 2 home runs (in each series), IMO, the fans got ripped off. They pay to see Bonds play the game, and he doesn't get a chance to. I forget what the ratio was of how many balls he gets to strikes, but it's not a good ratio. Yet, at the same time, the HR's : strikes thrown is a very good ratio, so I understand why managers fear Bonds, but I just don't understand why two years ago, the Brewers intentionally walked Bonds three times in a game when they were not only already knocked out of the playoffs, but they were down by a good five runs, and first base was occupied. Now THAT'S when I get STEAMED!

Oh, and by the way, the thread title asked "What kind of walk makes you madder?", not "Do you mind Bonds walking?".

No, the fans come to see their team win, and walking Bonds when the rest of team can't hit helps that happen.

Intentional walks are part of the game. There will never and should never be anything done to stop them. Hope the Giants get some other players who can hit, or get used to it.

I don't care if they walk him, walk him every time if you want. Instead of focusing on just the one player, let's focus on just how damn well the team has been playing as of late. They just swept the Ducking Fodgers in a 4 game series, and have jumped out into 1st place. The rest of the bats have been coming around, and the pitching besides Schmidt has been decent at best.

With the rest of the team hitting, what does it matter if they walk him or not. Sure I want to see him go deep, but you know what, I'd rather see my team win the damn game first. Whether he hits a home run or not should be an after thought.

The one type of walk that does annoy me is when the other team is up by like 6 or 7 late in the game, and they still put him on. It sounds like a Bruce Bochy type of thing to do. But if the score is close, and they put him on. Fine, it's just giving Alfonzo, Feliz or AJ the chance to drive him in.

Screw that. I pay to see my team win. Bonds can walk every time for all I care.

The only walk that I get mad at is when Bonds walks around the bases after yet another HR against my team

Get off the supplements (legal or not), take off the body armor, and play ball like a man.

Bonds should be hit, not just walked. He has some serious 'roid rage lately with calling all of Boston racist even though he's never been there and his answer to the Tim Montgomery accusations. This guy is a real hero.
