I keep hearing how the Cards need a LF. I was wondering why they don't call up the one they have in AAA, John Gall. He was named to the AAA all-star squad, is batter well over .300 with 20 HRs so far. Give the boy a shot!!

It has never been LaRussa and co.'s m.o. to go with young players. One of the reasons I could think of for him not making the team at the beginning of the year was his lack of playing time in lf and the fact that he is a corner infielder playing lf (ring a bell?). But now that the Ray Lankford comeback has worn out its welcome, I'd look for Gall to be brought up some time before August unless of course the Cards deal for a lf.Comment
