Eh, the catch was less impressive than the aftermath. Jeter caught that ball in fair territory. I guess he must've thought he was closer to the wall, because he just launched himself into the crowd.

The catch was impressive because he didn't slow up at all going for the ball as Matsui did earlier in the game on Ortiz' "double." Jeter went all out and was unable to stop because he was going at full speed.

When your running full speed like that, and the wall is so short like that, it would be hard to stay out of the crowd. Yea, he wasn't diving into the crowd as he caught it, but it was still a tough play. Hopefully he's ok.

But the real great play was Arod's double play. Not just the catch, but that throw home was unbelievable. It took a perfect throw to get it over the runner's head and not throw it over Posada's head, and he made it. So many big plays in this game from both sides.

Yeah, I don't mean to take anything away from the play. It was a good play, and Jeter showed his toughness by sacrificing himself. I guess I'm just bitter because I know ESPN is going to blow it out of proportion. Like the play I mentioned before, and the play against Oakland in the playoffs a few years ago.

I just saw the catch by Jeter and it was good but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I'm sure ESPN will play it over and over and over though.
