I haven't heard anything about the Giants wanting Delgado but the combination of Bonds and Delgado would be LETHAL! Do the Giants have any good pitching in the farm system that are close to Major League ready?

Merkin Valdez and Matt Cain, The Giants say they are not willing to deal either of them, but, for the Giants to make a move whether it's for another bat or a Closer they will probably have to trade one of these Pitchers.

Valdez was 3-1 with a 2.52 ERA in 7 starts at San Jose (A) and has no record in 1 start at Fresno (AAA).

Cain is 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA in 6 starts at Norwich (AA).

The problem with Phelps is that he can't hit right handed pitching.

He's been getting benched a lot this season yet he still has the 4th most AB's on the Jays. I believe he's 27 now so it's now or never. I still never understood why Tosca would let Clark/Gomez take away AB's from Phelps.

Well if JP wants to trade him, this is a good time because Phelps is on a hotsteak. The problem is that jays already lack HR power and the farm system is empty for power hitters.

JP has done a poor job of drafting guys with power although I will admit he did the right thing by drafting a lot of pitchers since that's the Jays weakness.

As a Jays fan I'm extremely disappointed so far this season, I thought they would play meaningful games in August and thought they had a chance at winning 90 games this year.

But you knew they didn't have great pitching or great hitting and you expected them to win around 90 games in the AL East?

this was practically the exact same team that was 2nd in the AL last year in hitting...The problem has been hitting this season..Vernon Wells,CD,Hinske(who is garbage with the glove and k's too much)all had below average starts...Halladay hasn't pitched closed to the way he did last season...If you saw yesterday he gave up 5 hits and 3 runs in the 1st inning, thankfully he pitched better as the game went on,like he always does, but it was too late...Seems tho like when he pitches his best,he gets horrible run support...

Batista and Lilly have been decent,Batista tho has really picked it up since starting slow...

I'm just sick of the Jays rebuilding year after year..I love this team and i want them to challenge for the playoffs again like they always did...I'm getting alittle impatient with Ricciardi and his moneyball plan..so far it hasn't panned out...
