There was a rumor about Cabrera being traded to the Cubs for Alex Gonzalez, but with Gonzalez still on the D.L. the Expos would not make that deal. Cabrera is right, and he probably will be traded by the end of the month, there may be a few teams interested in Cabrera, the White Sox would like to upgrade over Jose Valentin at SS, the Giants with the Deivi Cruz/Neifi Perez combination would be better with Cabrera, Cabrera drove in 80 runs last season hitting behind Vladimir Guerrero, imagine what he could do hitting behind Barry Bonds!.
Earlier this season Cabrera had said he did not want nor plan to return to the Expos next season, so they may as well get something for him while they can.

Man, if the Expos had a place to play they would of been one of the better teams in the NL over the past few seasons. Even with the great job Robinson has done, you just can't win as the MLB Expos.

If the Expos were going to trade him, they should of done it last year after his career year. He turned down a four year $31 Million dollar contract... I bet the Expos won't make that offer again.

I could see him in a Cub's uniform, he may even end up in New York.
