    White Sox acquire Carl Everett

    Jon Rauch and minor league pitcher Gary Majewski to Montreal for Everett.

    Yea I heard this earlier at another message board I post at. I guess its good news. We need lefty power and its good to have someone to step in for Big Frank since he'll be out for 8 weeks. Good pickup IMO

          I don't think Carl Everett is the answer to help the offense. Magg's is still a little dinged up, and Big Hurt is hurtin'.

          I'm not saying they gave up too much, (Rauch should be a solid number four starter sooner or later, and I know nothing of the other guy), I'm just saying that the White Sox might need a little more help to keep the Twins away.

                To be honest, I think at this stage in his career , Carl Everett is more harm than good.

                            HELL NO! I'm a long time White Sox fan and Rauch couldn't throw a fastball faster than Tim Wakefield. Mind you, he did have arm surgery a couple of years ago but even back then his fastball never top greater than 90mph
