I agree, that was a very assholish thing of Zambrano to do.

Does he miss 1 start or 2?

I think he will miss a couple for that.. I still can't believe he did that. he only hurt his team imo

I wonder what some of his teammates think?

he's to good of a pitcher for that stuff

All I will comment on this is that Zambrano has the stuff to be a great pitcher and most great pitchers have a lot of emotion (Clemens, Gibson, etc.). I have seen Zambrano use his emotion to help his team's cause, as he did by striking out Edmonds in his third at bat. But when he lets his emotions run him, that's when it becomes a problem. I am just glad that Edmonds was man enough to put his head down and jog to first.

I have never liked Jim Edmonds, but everything Zambrano did tonight was uncalled for. He needs to harness that energy like he did most of last year.

Now to the Barrett thing. I don't fault him. Someone said something and he didn't want to back down. I don't honestly think he was going to start a fight with the entire dugout without reason. He would have to be braindead to do that.

The childish antics demonstraded by Zambrano only show that he is yet to really pitch against anyone with guts, while on one hand, Chris Carpenter did the right thing and did not hit any Cubs after Edmonds was hit the first time, on the other hand you have to protect your teammates. In yesterdays Red Sox/Angels game after giving up a Home Run to David Ortiz John Lackey hits Nomar Garciaparra-a move Mike Scioscia later said was "unintentional", both benches were warned, bottem half of the inning first batter for the Angels is Bengie Molina, and...Curt Schilling nails Molina, he protected his teammate. Zambrano has behaved like this before and needs to learn how to controll his emotions on the mound, because one day he may be pitching against a Roger Clemens or a Pedro Martinez or Schilling or someone like them, he will hit one of there teammates and they will wait until he is standing in the batters box...

it was still one heck of a game tonight!, to bad Prior will miss his start tomorrow.
