New Leader in the NL East

Atlanta wins against Philadelphia tonight to put them 1 game up in the division. Do i hear 13 straight? Atlanta played great defense in a key win. Go Bravos!

Every time the league thinks they've gotten rid of us, we come storming right back. Don't sleep on the Bravos!

It's been an improbable turnaround. They were, what, 6.5 games out about 3-4 weeks ago?

They're playing as well as anybody right now, hope they can keep it up.

The Braves are are rumored to be shopping for a bat, supposedly Arizona's Danny Bautista is tops on the list, Colorado's Jeremy Burnitz has also been rumored. With or without making a move the key to the Braves is every one is starting to get healthy, Chipper Jones is swining the bat the best he has all season, Marcus Giles is back and is doing pretty well, J.D. Drew is killing the ball, and the Pitching is getting better, Paul Byrd has pitched well enough, Russ Ortiz is not going anywhere, Horacio Ramirez will be back soon and if Mike Hampton could pitch every game against the Phillies he would probably win the Cy Young. the Phillies and the Marlins missed there chance to put the Braves away early in the season when the Braves were all banged up and looking at there worst, but they didn't, and it's unlikely after the Braves get on a roll that they will slow down anytime soon.
