The latest rumor I heard was Benson to Minnesota for Mientkiewicz and a prospect. Depending on the prospect, I would think Pittsburgh could do better than that.
I've also heard the last couple days that the Braves may be making a late push for him. He's from the Atlanta area, and they've always coveted him.Comment

Mientkiewicz is a free agent after this season and if he is traded to the Pirates they probably will not be able to re-sign him, Littlefield can turn Benson into two or three good young players in the right trade, this is not the right trade.Comment
