It sounds like a deal won't be worked out, but one might within the next couple hours.

From what I'm hearing, the deal is off. But Finley to LA is still a possibility.

    Other rumors:
    Ismael Valdez to FLA
    Jose Cruz Jr. to CHW/BOS
Co-Commish of the OS Vets I & II
    Vets I | Green Bay Packers(11-6)
    | Last Game: L 31-6 @ CAR (Wild Card Round)
Vets II | Washington Redskins(13-6) | Last Game: L 37-34 OT @ ATL (NFC Conference Championship)

Vets Bowl I Champion | Vets Bowl II Runner-Up

Randy Johnson is going no where. ESPN NEWS says RJ to remain with the D-Backs.

Whats the rumor about Ismael Vladez going to FLA?

I haven't heard about who Florida would send to SD, but Florida wants Valdez as their #5 guy to replace Penny. SD would replace Valdez with either Hitchcock or Tankersley.

Ken Rosenthal mentioned it on Sporting News Radio a little while ago, he said they were close to a deal.

As for the Randy deal, it sounds like LA and Zona just couldn't agree on players to trade, cuz Johnson's agent told Rosenthal that Johnson never had the chance to okay it or use his veto clause. It's hard to believe, you think LA would have had this figured out before the FLA trade last night, I mean LA and Zona have been talking for the last three or four days about it. Bad, bad, bad trade deadline for Depo.
