I am a Sox fan... grew up in MA and will always love them.

I'm happy to see Nomar go. Main reason is I didn't care much for his attitude when he knew he was in trade talks. He milked his injury this year.

Look at Manny Rameriz. He WAS TRADED, but the Union said no. He took at as what it is, "Business." Nomar took it personal. It's pro sports - it's life. Trades happen. Just because you're a big star doesn't mean it won't happen to you.

I hope Nomar does well with the cubs and finds a team that signs him to a good deal. I'm happy his sour attitude is gone from Bston.

Now all Boston needs to do is release Trot Nixon on waivers or something since the guy's got Vince Carter syndrome. Can't play more than half a season. I swear Nixon went on the DL so he could keep from getting traded.

That's why some Boston fans will always be [censored] losers in my book. Nomar was/is a workhorse and was pretty much Mr. Boston as he loved the fans and the city. He was the heart of the team and then you guys hear that A-rid is on the block and you guys give him the shaft. I would have done the same thing if I was Nomar. Why the [censored] do you think Pedro wants out of bean-town? The city has no heart and you'll never win a world series because of it. I'm no Yankee fan by an means, but I love it when they kick your [censored] YEAR AFTER YEAR.

Don't forget though the past couple years Nomar's not been quite the workhorse he was. He's been on the DL more than he's been on the field for the past 3 seasons. Then he turns down a 4yr 60 million dollar extension to stay.

All pro sports athletes... you might like a city, but realize that at any given point you can be traded. It's the nature of the beast. Most of the people in boston are pissed that they traded Nomar. It'd been cool if he stayed, but all these guys demand so much money now that we'll pout of being possibly traded.

Nomar's a great player, but it was Pay-Rod. 2 time AL MVP. No offense to Nomar, but I'd take Pay-Rod's bat if I was offered the chance.

As for the World Series - Neither the Red Sox or Yankess are making the world series this year. They'll both chocke in the playoffs... but don't tell me that Nomar is the key since he's chocked during play off time since he's been with the team.
