    Phils fans, have no fear....

    Paul Abbott is still here.

I give up on this season. Seriously. I mean it.

Bunker Boy Ed Wade did it to us Phils fans again by not doing anything to bolster up this team. Braves, Marlins and Mets are going to pass us by.

    Sickening.

I'm disgusted. I didn't think yesterday's trades were bad at all. But I expected us to do something else. This is a joke. He traded away our best center fielder. We have gaping holes in center field and the rotation.

Marlon Byrd had some nice catches, and Glanville didn't blow any games, which is a good thing.

The Padres are going nowhere fast, but the sweep is nice.

The relievers are nice additions, but we needed a CF and possibly a SP.

The Braves will likely be trouble. They always are. Burrell's injury will also be important in their success, or lack thereof, and if they don't keep winning, they will lose badly to their division rivals in the playoff run.

Millwood has been a letdown IMO, and I'd like to see him gone one way or another.

Wade didn't do much, but I'm not sure what was available for him. I thought he might try and get Kenny Lofton, but I guess that didn't work out.

My prediction is that Ledee will go on to be a great center fielder, and thus join the ranks of Schilling and Rolen, eventually making up the three-headed monster that is traded away talent.

The Braves really impress me this year. They lost so much and are still doing well. The Phillies on the other hand, added a lot of talent, have a new stadium, and are doing average at best.

The rest of the season will be exciting if they continue to win. However, if they falter, there is a new guy in town named Terrell that is supposedly pretty good, and the Sixers are in the process of adding youth, so the Phillies could potentially fade in more ways than one.

C'mon...you Phillies fans HAD to have known this was going to happen. Did you honestly think they were going to win the division?

Winning the division was certainly a reality going into the season.

The Braves lost a ton of talent, and the Phillies added talent (Thome, Wagner, Worrel, Hernandez, etc.)

The Phillies are still in it, but they need to get on a nice run and hope their starting pitching steps up.

Millwood and Burrell being on the DL doesn't help anyone, esepcially considering that leaves Glanville and Byrd to run around in the outfield with the only-average defensive center fielder that is Bobby Abreu.

I honestly thought they had a realistic chance to win the division. Do I still think that? Right now, I'd say it's 50/50, depending mostly on whether the Braves cool off or if they continue to light it up and run away with the NL East.
