How were the Indians not one of the most dominant teams of the 90's?

Forgive me if my information is wrong...because I'm not a Cleveland fan.

At one time... didn't the Indians have an OF of Ramirez...Lofton... and Gonzalez (when he as healthy) and an infield containing Jim Thome and Omar Vizquel?

How could they have not won more with 5/9 of their lineup being supreme first class players?

They were dominant up to a point but it was the starting pitching and bullpen that let them down. I think they could've at least won a World Series with that team but there was always something in their way. They could've won it against the Marlins but the Fish were just as good if not better that year and the Tribe were dominant at a time when the Yankees were just beginning their unbelievable run.

        The timing was bad.

Not only did we have those players, through the years we have given up Sexson, Casey, Giles, Burnitz, Wright who was a dominant pitcher at the time, Belle was a huge power hitter during his time, We should have won a couple titles but Mesa blew one and the time wasn't right during the Braves series. Not to worry we are about to be back on top.

I was watching the Yankees win 5 of 7 pennants during that time.

The team u could make of ex-Indians, traded away or lost to free agency since around 95:

                    C - Sandy Alomar
                    1B - Richie Sexson
                    2B - Jeff Kent
                    SS - Damian Jackson
3B - Jim Thome (for the sake of having somewhere to put Richie)
                    LF - Brian Giles
                    CF - Kenny Lofton
                    RF - Manny Ramirez
                    DH - Albert Belle
Bench - Robbie Alomar, Sean Casey, Jeromy Burnitz, David Bell

                    SP - Bartolo Colon
                    SP - Jaret Wright
                    CL - Danny Graves

don't forget juan gonzalez. and most of these players were gone while they were still young or playing well
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.
