I'd like for us to get an expecience manager like Brenly. But since he just won a WS,he might be out of our price range.
I'm wondering if John Gibbons will get a chance to stick for next season. One knock on Tosca could be that he never had any professioal baseball playing experience.

Other candidates could be Enrie White or Ron Washington.

        Who's Ron Washington?

I know that Whitt doesn't have MLB managing experience but he did do some coaching in the minors and international baseball managing has to count for something.

As for Phelps yeah it was a bad move on the Jays part as it seemed he never got a chance with Tosca managing him. That's one trade that may end up being like the David Cone trade to the Yankees.

How about Garth Iorg? Isn't he managing somewhere in the Jays system? I like the idea of Ernie Whitt but then again I liked the idea of Buck Martinez too ...

Give Tim Johnson another chance! The Jays actually had one of their best records under him in '98.

            Or how about CITO GASTON?!?!

            Hmm maybe not.

Ron Washington is the 3B coach of the A's. Jp already said he won't be looking at Washington, although he may have said that to set up a smoke-sceen.

As for the other person that said Tim Johnson, are your serious? We don't need to hear him bs with his "war" stories again.

As for Gaston I think he's finished with managing. I see a fresh face coming in.

Ah thanks. JP also said the Jays won't be going for a big name manager cuz it would be "too expensive". Man that's a load of BS! Yes some well known managers command high salaries but there are a few well known and proven managers that wouldn't cost THAT much. I also heard JP's comments on why they let go of Phelps. That was another bunch of crap that came out of his mouth. JP is really starting to sour on me. I just hope that he can turn things around or there's going to be a lot of Jays fans that will want him fired.
