I was just thinking about an hour ago how it kindof dampers the highlight of hitting for the cycle when you did so because you were hitting against some crappy Minor League pitching. Conversely, things must not be looking too good for the future of the Royals if they make those kind of mistakes, not even ROOKIE mistakes, more like frickin' LITTLE LEAGUE mistakes....AND THEN CONTINUE TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES ALL FRICKIN' NIGHT!! bad bad bad bad pitching, I don't see how they can think too brightly of next year after that tester game.

I don't think the quality of the pitchers put a damper on hitting for the cycle, whether you are facing good pitching or bad you still have to hit the ball, but i do see what you mean, it would seem more impressive a feat if he did against Roger Clemens rather than the AAA staff the Royals call Pitchers.
I remember when Eric Milton threw his No-hitter against the Angels back in '99, people (in southern california anyway) tried to down play his acomplishment because the Angels started most of there bench players that day, but he still had to get them out and he did.
so lets let Davanon enjoy his 15 minutes in the spotlight.
