Perhaps best known for his WS Homer as a Dodger. Many years as a Tiger before going to LA.

As a kid born in 1981 in Michigan, Kirk Gibson is one of the first guys I even remember in sports. I was almost offended by that post, lol.

I wouldn't go that far but it makes me feel old because I identify him more as a Tiger than a Dodger.

I thought the same thing...he has that iconic moment as a Dodger, and yet when I think Kirk Gibson the first thing that comes to mind is Detroit Tigers, Sparky Anderson calling him the next Mantle, and his homer off Gossage to clinch the '84 series. His time as a Dodger was pretty insignifanct in comparison, IMO.

That 09 season in general, was bad for him. Should've retired after 08 season and stayed a Brave his whole career.

Not sure if this was posted in the past because he obviously never played for them but in honor of Yogi Berra's passing:

Did people really forget about Ozzie Smith on the Padres? That baseball card pic is worth posting anyway b/c it says "bust" on it. lol

This is a fun thread because one dorky thing I enjoy doing is looking up random teams on Baseball Reference and seeing if I can stump myself.

How about Goose Gossage on the Cubs?

I'm sure there are people who didn't know Ozzie played in SD.

He wasn't a big time player though his stats with the bases loaded are I believe the best of all time or at least very close and here's Baseball Reference's BR Bullpen to break it down:

Tabler amassed an incredible record with the bases loaded. He had 43 hits in 88 at bats for a .489 batting average in this situation. Breaking it down another way, he came to the plate 109 times with the bases loaded in his career: he had 43 hits, 11 walks, 1 hit by pitch, 9 sacrifice flies, and reached on error twice. That amounts to a 60.6% chance that at least one run scored when Tabler came to bat.
Anywho, I knew him as a Cubbie, Royal and Blue Jay but I didn't know he spent some time in THIS uniform:
