Anibal Sanchez is terrible. Didn't he get a big contract too?

Anyone have an old Ford Fiesta they would like to trade for Jon Niese?

Astros earn a split in Detroit. This was the series that many thought would "expose" Houston. It didn't. The haters will have to move the goal post again.

I believe in Houston but Detroit is struggling lately too. They did lose a series at home to Milwaukee last week.

In fact, because the CFL team is leaving next summer they may be putting in a dirt infield like in Tampa. This is all just a placeholder until real grass is installed in '18 or '19.
Rogers Center is/was an architectural marvel not a baseball marvel, those two are mutually exclusive. To me it's just anpther cookie cutter stadium with a hole in the roof. Nothing more nothing less. And cookie cutter stadiums are the worst thing to happen to baseball since the DH.

I can't disagree with you there but at least Rogers has done a lot to make it look less cookie cutter than it did in its glory years. The stadium is also vastly different depending on whether the roof is opened or close. When the roof is closed it can be a dreary place but when it's opened it's actually not a bad stadium at all especially when it's got a decent crowd.

I can offer you a 1994 Geo Tracker [a.k.a. Eric Stults]? The previous owner has stated it rides very bumpy, has terrible mileage and wished he never saw it.

Nice bounceback after losing the first game for the Twins to take the series in Chicago. Bring on the BoSox.

Rogers Centre is great when the roof is open and there is a good crowd. I've never really understood the hate toward it.

So a team hasn't won in decades and because people doubt them, they are "haters"?

Most overused term of the decade.

Decades? They won the National League 10 years ago. Decade. And prior to that they were playoff contenders for a decade. Maybe you're too young to remember that?

Anyway, it's not the "doubt" that is the issue. It's the constant moving of the goal posts just so they can say "SEE!" when they finally get one right (wait til they play the Tigers, they haven't faced pitcher X, etc).

The last time they finished over .500 was in 2008, they also won the Central 4 times between 1997-2001. So saying they haven't won in decades is a bit of a exaggeration.

I wasn't being literal.... okay... use the term "ages". No, it's not that I'm too young....it's that precision wasn't the point.

                                It's doubt versus "haters".

                                Personally, I'm pulling for them.
