Let's Give it up for Kevin Brown

The Yankees pitching sucks. They are in desperate need for more pitching. So what does one of their best pitchers do?

PUNCHES A WALL AFTER TONIGHT'S START AND BREAKS HIS LEFT HAND!

No link yet, it was on the YES post game. They said he could be out for the season, and maybe the postseason too.

    Unreal. What a *******.

Yeah I just saw it on ESPN bottom line. Gus Frerotte anyone? Oh well, maybe this will tell Brian to get some pitching instead of always going after the big bats. Moose is not throwing well, Loaiza is a joke, Leber is too inconsistent, and now Brown cant control himself. If El Duque were not fresh off Tommy John surgery I would vote to do like the old days and let him start every game.

Re: Let's Give it up for Kevin Brown

Time to face facts, Yankee Faithful....there were only three BAAAARELY consistent pitchers on your staff all year...

Mussina has been incosistent for more than 3 years now. Don't even act like he didn't. People acted like he was such a great pitcher, but whats this well over 4.00 ERA I see tagging along with him all this time? Contreras didn't work out, since his only good pitch is a Splitter. The Yanks only hope of even making it into the post and possibly BAAARELY into the World Series rested solely on Kevin Brown, Jon Leiber, and Orlando Hernandez. Now one of them is gone. So go ahead and try to tell me that you can get it done with two pitchers, one of which is all but consistent (Leiber). I knew El Duce would come back and be big for someone this season, I sat by idly watching and waiting to pick him up on my Fantasy team, and once he was back he surely didn't disappoint. But with him as the Yankees sole hope...do they really have what it takes? I doubt it. I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't make it to the post now. I thought they'd have a decent chance with Brown, but now they're just screwed.

It must SUCK to be a Yankee fan right now, and I'm loving every minute of it.

Um...Mussina has had a horrible year, but the last 3 years he has been:

                17-8 3.40 ERA
                18-10 4.05 ERA
                17-11 3.15 ERA

I'd take him on my staff anytime.

Who knows if he'll figure it out this year or not, but he has been a very good pitcher the last few years, and throughout his career.

It's liek Christmas in September Man, Yanks can't get a thing done.

El Duque, Moose, Vasquez, Lieber, Loaiza or Sturtze. How frightening. I think there is no way the Yanks won't make it to postseason, but gettin past any team, whether it be Sox, Twins, or A's, isn't happening.

I agree, the Yanks are in the postseason. They would have to drop off a ton to not make the postseason since they are 2 up on Boston in the loss column and I think 6 up on Anaheim in the wild card. I didn't think they would make it past the first round with Brown, now I'm sure they won't. This Yankees team isn't that good.
