Then they can blame roguish behavior and tout the Cardinal Way all they want.
I can see why you would be disappointed. If it were me, I would also wait until the FBI released their results and just used my lawyers as a double check. I don't see the point of trying to get the team's "innocence" (I say that because why would they even try to get in front of the FBI if they are guilty) out to the public quicker.

The reason it doesn't bother me is because I also know most people aren't going to take those results too seriously and, instead, wait for the government's say.

The only thing it really accomplishes is to let the unquestioning, I-told-you-so, BFIB people to overreact in a negative way towards all other fans.

You do your own investigation to find out what the FBI is going to find and then you can figure out how to fight it. It's nothing more than finding what they have to cover.

I think it's pretty safe to assume they already know the answers to those questions.

No more news about this in a while. Why has this gone so quiet suddenly?

Not much to do but wait at this point. MLB won't do anything till the FBI is done.

The FBI was investigating this for almost a year before we heard anything, so there's really not much to report other than "the FBI is still investigating this case".

Cardinals fired scouting director Chris Correa

Correa has admitted hacking into a Houston Astros database but said it was only to verify that the Astros had stolen proprietary data, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.
Correa did not leak any Astros data, and is not responsible for additional hacks that the FBI has alleged occurred or leaking any data, said the source.
Apparently he had the 17th highest position in the organization.
