Bobby Madritsch blanks Red Sox through 8

Game isn't over yet, but I knew the second I first saw this guy he was special. The Mariners had to rely on Minor League pitching all year, and the story about the M's was quickly shifting from their win/loss to Ichiro's hitting. Suddenly, after the Red Sox unbelievable winning streak, Bobby goes out there and blanks 'em like it aint nothin....this is so awesome, especially to an M's fan like me. I'm sitting here thinking...jesus that's an awesome Changeup, but Santana good? Who knows. All I know is that Madritsch is the frickin' BOMB out of nowhere like Mark Prior a few years ago. Danny Cabrera can't touch this. If he gets a shutout againts these unstoppable Red Sox tonight, I'm gonna flip. I LOVE this game!

EDIT: They took him out in the 9th, but it was still an awesome display...I mean you have to look at who it was against, the RED SOX...I mean for a month now these guys really have been all but beatable, and Madritsch performs 8 scoreless innings against them? struck out David Ortiz twice? That was awesome...that was like this year's DBacks blanking the Yanks. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Red Sox fan, but I'm an even bigger Mariners fan. Shutout over, Cabrera just hit a homer off of Atchison.
