It is a day game? Damn it. Was afraid of that. I'm going to assume Zito's only good for 2 - 3 innings max.

Yea 1 local start. Probably too late to push it back to 4 but you never know.

SS says his limit is going to be 50 pitches so it will be a short outing. Guess he threw an extended bullpen to stretch himself out today.

Personally I think that's hogwash but that's neither here nor there. I use to pitch in relief in our conference games on the weekends and then spot start once during the week without any issues.

Matt Wisler...you MUST hit your location. These are big league hitters and if you miss, they will kill you.

I'm not usually a "blame the ump" guy....but Gonzalez missing that strikeout call on Jace Peterson turns this whole inning against Verrett.

Hector Olivera just crushed a ball....first time he's hit a ball that made go "wow"! He went out and around an outside pitch to pull it way out to left center. Great to see!

That ball was outside...even the Mets booth agreed it was a good call.

Hit the corner....too close not to be a strike....and Hernandez(who isn't a fan of pitchers) said....you gotta get that call as a pitcher.

Meh...I'm watching the Mets feed and the overhead that they showed had it outside, just barely. I heard Mex say that, but then Darling (a pitcher!) said it was a good call and went on to talk about how good the home plate ump has become.

I think the bigger issue was hanging a 3-2 change up...

                    Is your location accurate?

                    In Oregon...watching a NYM feed...as a Braves fan?

The best part of that Zito/Hudson matchup will be the narrative leading up to it, because that game could get ugly fast.

Yet all I could hear in my head when I saw the matchup confirmed in Twitter was Jim Lampley saying:

Yes...I am stationed in Oregon. I have the extra innings package so I get both feeds...and I always watch the Mets feed when I can because they are the best booth in the game, IMO.

Yeah.....still gotta make the pitches and plays.

Stationed? Does that mean you're in the military?

I actually enjoy the Braves broadcast...took me a while but I appreciate Chip Caray as he is fairly humble. I do miss the Joe & Boog days for the short time they lasted.

Yes...I am a helicopter pilot. I don't mind Chip/Joe, but I can only hear them tell me how good all the Braves young players are and how bright the future is, blah blah blah. I grew up with Skip/Pete/Don/Joe...hard to beat the first two.
