Good gross, or bad gross? I don't know much about Inciarte.

Bad gross. Inciarte's better than Miller, sure, but he's probably not a big upgrade on Soler this year, has less control I think, and has a hell of a lot less potential, and less market value. Also, defense declines earlier, which mitigates some of his value.

He's like a Kevin Pillar type.

It wouldn't be straight up. Seems to make sense unless the Cubs can get a young #3 starter for Soler. Inciarte + Teheran for Soler+ perhaps.

Uhm...no. I don't know what will happen, but we would be foolish to trade Tehran/Inciarte for Soler. I actually read today that Atlanta has asked for Baez and Soler for Inciarte plus a minor leaguer.

When someone writes it as Soler+ that means Soler and then some more. FYI. Not sure if it came across that way or if you're just objecting to dealing both Inciarte and Teheran together.

Hoping the Angels get Alex Gordon instead of Cespedes or Upton. I like all 3 players but Cespedes strikes me as a player who "played up" a bit in a contract year Upton is just too damn inconsistent and I had enough of watching that **** in 2013 and 2014.

Gordon's gonna be 32 before the season starts but the Angels' time is now.

Todd Frazier talks are heating up. Both the White Sox and Indians are heavily involved according to Jon Heyman.

The Cubs signed Stephen Fife and Jean Machi over the weekend as well.

Ah...my bad, I didn't see the + after Soler in your post, I thought you were saying Soler straight up for Teheran and Inciarte.

Soler was signed a 9 year contract, so service time rules don't really apply to him.

Frazier for Tim Anderson + would be fantastic for the Reds.

Anyone able to provide insight on the prospects going Philly's way?

Velasquez pitched pretty well for the astros this past season. Appel has good stuff but for some reason has never been very good. His minor league numbers are terrible. Eshelman has below average-to average stuff but has great control. Oberholtzer is an OK major league pitcher, number 5 starter. Don't know much about the other guy.
