Omar Minaya would bring some sense to the Mets as he was in a situation where he had to assess young talent and bring them in while bringing some bargain basement players. I don't know how well he'd do in NY but it's better than who they got now.

BTW what do Mets fans think of Gary Carter expressing interest to manage the team?

I've heard not very good, but damn I would love Bobby V to come back. All but one of his teams overachieved. I think if he was the manager, Seo and Kaz would do much better.

That guy was the anti-Dusty Baker...not so great for morale but man was he good at strategy.

I think he was great for morale as long as you didn't have an ego. He checked those that did (Ricky and Bonilla) and they didn't respond well. Bobby V treats everyone equal and some vets don't respond well to that.
